The unique firing head and double tube construction makes the Plastimo Cruiser range of liferafts a must for the serious boater.
Constructed from heavy duty PVC with polyester canopy the liferaft features an insulated floor and well equiped safety pack. All Plastimo liferafts are covered with a 12 year warranty and 3 year service intervals with service agents worldwide.
The Liferaft:
Plastimo Liferafts have very large openings, to facilitate access directly from the boat.
The double chamber is a Plastimo exclusive, it features an air chamber within an envelope, used on all their liferafts. 1100 Decitex PVC has been selected for the outer envelope beacuse it offers extreme resistance to abrasion. While the inner chamber is constructed for an outstanding polyurethane sheet which guarantees an absolute water and air-tightness, and offers an astonishing stretching capacity of 500%.
THe arch tube inflates simultaneously with the tubes.
The upper and lower tubes are totally independent on all Plastimo liferafts.
The floor is constructed of aluminium coated insulationg foam.
The patented firing head was developed by Plastimo engineers and is used on all their liferafts. The firing head is actuated by hand (10%) and by gas pressure (90%); an injured person or even a child can blow a liferaft open.
Inflation temperature range; although not visable, this criterion is essential: passage-makers and round the world racers must pay particular attention to selecting the right liferaft, with a firing system and bottle capacity that is desighed to perform best in the specific geographic areas where they sail. The Cruiser liferaft has a inflation temperature range of 0º to +65ºC.
Every Plastimo liferaft is supplied with a righting strap, to right a capsized raft, as standard.
The 8-man Cruiser liferaft is supplied with 3x 30 litre ballast pockets, a floating anchor 0.40m² with a 10m line, 1 outside rope ladder and 1 inside webbing ladder, 1 floating knife, 1 paddle, 1 rescue quoit with 15m line, 1 bailer, 1 sponge, 1 repair kit, a checkbook and instruction manual, survical instructions and signal card, 0.2 litres of water per person, and a waterproof torch.
