The DR1 cable gland can be drilled in the same way as the M Series glands, to accept a variety of cables. Following the instructions provided, simply drill holes of appropriate diameter through the 12.5mm thick diaphragm. However, the diaphragm should not be slit as it is not tapered, (as in the M Series glands) and a perfect seal would therefore not be guaranteed.
