KSTEUN25V Vetus Engine Mount
Vetus TYPE K25 is a flexible engine mount designed for use with smaller marine engines and generator sets with one or two cylinders, up to approx. 20 HP. The flexible mounting contains a special rubber compound which has excellent damping properties, absorbing vibrations and propeller thrust.
The torque of an engine is one of the deciding factors for determination of the load applied to the Vetus engine mounts. When more powerful engines are installed, it is important to use the following formula to define the load per support in kg (4 supporting points).
(Engine weight in kg + kW x 487 x reduction of gearbox = max. load per number of supports engine revs/min.x centre to centre spacing support in kg in metres of the longitudinal engine bearers)
