While Balmar's high-output alternators are generally designed and recommended for use with their multi-stage voltage regulators, the 6-Series Alternator stands out with its Smart Ready? Technology. When the battery loads are relatively small and the engine operates frequently, the alternator's internal regulator may be adequate to meet electrical needs without external regulation. However, for vessels with larger deep-cycle battery banks or engines with less frequent duty cycles, such as in many sailing applications, the 6-Series Alternator seamlessly integrates with Balmar's ARS-5 Voltage Regulator, Max Charge Voltage Regulator or Wakespeed's WS500 Regulator.Whether purchased individually or as part of a charging kit, the 6-Series Alternators offer a cost-effective solution to address a variety of charging challenges. Each kit includes the alternator, regulator, and two temperature sensors.
