The depth transducer is well suited to being mounted inside a GRP hull (max 3/4" thickness) and we would strongly recommend using the Nasa Inhull Transducer mounting kit to securely fit the transducer in the correct position. For steel and wooden hull construction the transducer would need to be fitted through the hull and fairing blocks used to facilitate smooth water flow across the surface of the tranducer.
